Family

I've got three kiddos; 15 year old Magnolia, 7 year old Virgil, and 6 year old Everett. My kids are the most incredible humans and each of their births taught me so much. I'm lucky to be their mama.

My husband Josh and I have recently celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary! He is my rock and support system, the ultimate birthworker husband who holds down the fort when I'm away at births.

We call Huntsville, Alabama home but in the fall of 2022, my family moved to the tiny island of Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands. We will be living here through 2024/2025, then returning to Alabama.

Island Life

We love our island home and feel so grateful to be spending time in this gorgeous place.

In our free time on Kwaj, we enjoy riding our bikes (the only mode of transportation on our island!), going to the beach, swimming in the saltwater pool, and catching hermit crabs.

Yoga

I love a good asana! Living in the Marshall Islands, I have the beautiful opportunity to practice yoga on the beach and at the oceanside as well as in the classroom and in my home.

My favorite kinds of yoga include slow flow, Yin yoga, and restorative yoga.

Hand Embroidery

Embroidery helps me focus (having my hands busy keeps my mind on task!) when I'm doing school work and is also wonderful to do when catching up on a tv show or movie. My maternal grandmother was an amazing fiber artist, a prolific quilter, so I love following in her footsteps creatively.

I embroider all kinds of designs but my favorite embroideries are birth and reproductive related!
